A significant oversight.

I didn't have an exam this morning. But I didn't know that until 20 minutes ago.

Yesterday, I baked seven dozen cookies for my residents.  I also cleaned up a flooded 1st floor hall.  In between this, I was studying for my POLI 100 exam that was supposed to take place this morning.

I stayed up until 2 a.m. and then slept for a few hours.  I woke at six this morning and put in some last-minute review time for the 8 a.m. exam.  And it was all for nothing.

I walked into my classroom this morning with 15 minutes to spare and immediately knew that something was wrong.  The folks in the room were not my classmates.  I dashed over to Davis to check the location of the exam, thinking I had somehow slipped up. I logged on to Blackboard and checked the class syllabus. My eyes scanned over the screen, but the syllabus made no reference to the exam's location.

That was when I took a look back at the UNC Spring 2010 Exam Schedule. It showed that 8 a.m. MWF classes had an exam at 8 a.m. this morning. But my POLI 100 class never meets on Monday, Wednesday, or Friday. Instead, it meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

And, apparently, the exam for it isn't until this Friday.  So, I've got four days to study for an exam that I'm already totally ready for.

I guess that's good, but I still feel like such a fool right now.
